On Thursday, we visited the Sisters of Portimão. What a great opportunity to get to know more about them and about the faith they bring to the work. I learned a lot from Sister De Sousa.
The Elders find some of the funniest ways to distract themselves. Two elders in our district, Elders Gunther and Pickrell found a good little lizard. They named him Ricky. Poor Ricky didn’t have a home. He didn’t have a tail either.
Being the Good Samaritans that they are, the Elders took him home. However, I am sure they provided Ricky the good care. But unlike the bible story, the care they provided did not revive little Ricky. Unfortunately, Ricky died.
In honor of dearly departed Ricky, we started naming all the lizards that we see Ricky. We caught our own little Ricky.
But unlike the Elders, we are the Best Samaritans. We cared for Ricky so much that we let him go and he survived. We also got to hold the cutest puppies! They were so cute and tiny!!
We were invited over to members house for dinner. They fed us snails. Have you ever tried them?
Well this is it everyone. This is the last email I will send as a missionary. I just want to say thanks to all of the people who have supported me and been there for me this year and a half. It really means a lot to me to have all of the support and the love! I’ll see you all in one week! TCHAU!!!!
